Cornersmith book launch and Tepache MOB Workshop at The Fermentary - Thursday Dec 1 - Time 6-8pm

Join us to celebrate Sydney's most inspiring and knowledgeable preservers - Alex Elliott-Howery & Jaimee Edwards of Cornersmith to help celebrate the launch of their latest book The Food Saver's A-Z  at our North Fitzroy store. 

We have admired the work of Alex and Jaimee over the years as they have built both their cafe and their community.  Come and say Hi to them both - enjoy a Q & A, a couple of home brew non-alcoholic drinks made by us,  and some nibbles (that all happen to have pineapple in them) because after we'll fill our jars with pineapple skins for a delicious Tepache. This fermented Mexican drink is made using the core and peel of pineapples - everyone will take home their own jar of Tepache to ferment - and the confidence to make your own all summer. 

This is also the first of our MOB (Mingling Over Bacteria) workshop series, that you will see many more of in the new year. These workshops are fun, relaxed and social and not too in depth - a purely hands on experience.

Books will be available for purchase on the night.
